Wallender Designated a BSACS
February 1, 2022 8:28 amBillings Federal Credit Union’s Rachel Wallender recently earned the designation of becoming a Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS)! CUNA’s program allows a credit union employee to showcase their “commitment to identifying the latest forms of illicit financial activities and understanding evolving Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.” Earning the BSACS requires self-study and broad knowledge of the BSA.
Rachel started at the credit union in November of 2018 and is currently the credit union’s Systems Analyst, in addition to the BSA Compliance Officer role. “I have been in banking for over 16 years and have worn just about every hat, but BSA Compliance is my favorite. I have a real passion for compliance work and getting my certification means bringing legitimacy this “hobby” of mine. I am so excited for my new path with BSA Compliance”
Congratulations, Rachel — we are proud of your extra work and certification and delighted you have joined the compliance officer peer community!
