Talking about the Credit Union Difference

Have you ever thought you knew the difference between a bank and a credit union, only to find it was difficult to articulate? It is one of those questions that might be asked out of the blue by an Uber driver, during a community function, or just randomly by friends and family who know you are associated with a credit union but don’t really know what they are.
If you are interested in enhancing your knowledge and honing your reply, the Your Money Further website lays it out succinctly and in terms that can almost be memorized. But reciting might not provide the passion I know many of you have for our movement. Instead, I would encourage you to take a look at the website, discuss any questions you have with your credit union CEO or fellow board members, and feel comfortable letting those in (and out of) your circle know why you proudly volunteer your time to the local financial cooperative!
And, while we’re at it, I would love to hear your favorite “ah ha” moment on what makes a credit union different!
