In this season of thanksgiving and blessings, it seems appropriate to remind all of you how important the partnership Montana’s Credit Unions has with CUNA Mutual Group is. They are not just a vendor providing insurance protection and vital lending and deposit services to your credit union members and staff, but a strong supporter of the whole credit union system. Their work advocating to protect your tax status, supporting young leaders, and assisting with collaborative innovation is an ongoing commitment and needs to be recognized.

In a recent article, our good friend (and fellow Montanan!) Gerry Singleton, CUNA Mutual Group Vice President Credit Union System Relations, discusses A Partnership Rooted in Our Collective Purpose. In it, Gerry says, “[t]he people we serve in partnership with credit unions work hard for what they have and want to protect their livelihood and loved ones. We work every day to deliver innovative, reliable solutions and experiences that enable more people in more ways to make financial decisions that work for them.”

Quite simply, they get it. It is not about profit for CUNA Mutual Group, but about serving your members’ financial needs and supporting your credit union now and in the future. I hope you will consider how much they do for all of us when you are deciding what direction to go with your bond, 401(k), and other products.
