Montana Credit Unions for Kids

An essential part of the credit union philosophy is giving back to our community, including through charity. Montana’s Credit Union’s charities of choice are Credit Unions for Kids and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In Montana, any money we raise goes to support Shodair Children’s Hospital, which is our state’s sole CMN hospital. While Shodair is headquartered in Helena, it serves families from all over the state.

Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) is a collaborative program that involves participation from Montana credit unions.

Our Fundraising Commitment

In 2021, Montana’s Credit Unions committed to raising $50,000 over the next five years for Shodair’s Capital Campaign for their new hospital in Helena, Montana. CU4Kids Committee members will be asking credit unions to get involved in a number of fun events to raise funds. Since then, Montana’s credit unions have raised over $87,000!

The Brawl of the Wild Cats/Griz Icon Fundraiser!

Each November (prior to the annual Cat/Griz football contest), credit unions across the state sell Cat and Griz football icons giving MSU and UM fans a chance to engage in a bit of friendly rivalry while donating to Shodair and supporting their team. In 2023, Montana’s credit unions raised over $23,000 just in the Brawl of the Wild fundraiser. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we work together!
