Laurel, MT–August 18, 2022 — SEG Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce Danielle Kopp has been promoted to the position of President/CEO, replacing Janice Lehman who retired the end of June. Kopp started working at SEG in 1996 and has served in numerous roles at the credit union during that time, most recently Vice President.

“We chose to promote Danielle because her work ethic and knowledge of the credit union impressed us,” said George Maas, who chairs the credit union’s board. “Danielle was initially hired as a teller, and over the years she’s taken on additional responsibilities, completed the necessary certifications, and been eager to help the credit union advance. Now she knows the credit union from top to bottom and is in a great position to lead SEG into the future.”

A long-time resident of Laurel, Kopp knows the community and the SEG FCU members well. Raising her two children with her husband, she has dedicated a great deal of time to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the children and families it has impacted. Over the years she has served on three local PTA boards and served as Vice-President of Leadership and Vice-President of Membership for the Montana PTA.

In her new position, Kopp intends to make sure every credit union member feels valued, appreciated, and educated so they are able to live their lives to the fullest. “I know what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet,” she says, “so I identify with many of our members and am committed to helping them reach their financial goals.”
