Co-op Academy Coming Soon!

August 21, 2024 7:30 am

Plan now to attend the first Montana Cooperative Academy in Great Falls October 9-11.

This year’s academy is focused on co-op frontline employees and board members. Learn from other co-ops across all sectors, get creative, problem solve, and learn more about cooperatives in Montana. There will be plenty of time to network and connect, too.

As financial cooperatives credit unions are often labeled as “similar to a bank,” but in many ways, you have a lot more in common with your local electric, phone, or other cooperatives. Find out more about the seven cooperative principles, which include a member-owner structure and democratic board representation.

“The Co-op Academy is true collaboration in action as leaders from various cooperative sectors in Montana are working together to deliver this timely and relevant program,” shares Gerry Singleton, President/CEO of Montana’s Credit Unions. “The Montana Council of Cooperatives continues to support cooperative development and growth across the state.”

To be part of this exciting couple of days, register now. If you are unsure of your credit union’s membership status with the Montana Council of Coops (because it’s worth a $50 discount!) or to learn more about MCOC, contact Beth Satre, (or by phone at 406.324.7457) our MCU Data Manager and also our representative to the MCOC board.
