As we close out National Volunteer Month, I hope you know how important volunteer board members and supervisory committee members are to our credit union movement.

Greg Michlig, EVP/Chief Engagement Officer with the Credit Union National Association, said much of it in his article Volunteerism at the core of the credit union movement. In Montana, both state and federal credit unions have boards and committees run solely by volunteers. That accounts for about 450 individuals across Montana!

Your selfless time for board meetings, preparation for audits and exams, researching issues, and representing your credit union all matter. Thank you for your time and thank you for being a volunteer –we appreciate you!
