Attend GAC from Montana
February 3, 2021 7:30 amCUNA’s 2021 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) will take place virtually March 2-4. We would love to see strong representation from Montana this year, especially from credit union board members. MCU’s Chief Advocacy Officer, Karen Smith, noted that “this is a terrific opportunity to participate in CUNA’s signature advocacy event without leaving the state.”
Keynote speakers include award-winning documentarian, journalist, and author Soledad O’Brien and author, speaker and agent for social change Kevin Carroll. Former head of the USDA, Dr. Scott Gottlieb will also present on health care policy in the COVID-19 age.
Breakout sessions will include the following topics:
- The Economic Outlook & Credit Union Operations
- Navigating the Compliance & Litigation Minefield
- The Road to Real-Time Payments: How Fast is Fast Enough?
- Why It Matters: How DEI Strengthens Your Credit Union and Improves Advocacy
- Current Regulatory Landscape and Future Outlook
More information and registration are available at cuna.org/gac. Registration is only $445 a person, but small credit unions (<$50 million) and credit unions with multiple attendees are eligible for discounts. While we look forward to gathering in person again in the future, this is a fantastic opportunity to participate in the energy and spirit that defines credit union advocacy. Contact Karen if you have questions and look for announcements of virtual Hill visits as the GAC gets closer.
